Collection Process & Pricing

PROCESS:
Our Collectors are specially trained to follow a process designed by our legal team.  After reviewing the Fair Credit Reporting Act, our attorneys prepared a standardized collecting process for collecting from general consumers as well a second process for collecting from  businesses.  No matter what you need collected, our team is ready!
  • Telephone calls placed by our professional debt collectors.
  • Initial demand letter on CV Financial letterhead with tear-off remittance form and envelope.
  • Two follow-up demand letters in an escalating tone. Letters are on CV Financial letterhead with tear-off remittance form and envelope.
  • A "placed for collection" payment experience in the debtor's business and/or personal credit file
  • File is then sent to our Attorneys to begin the legal process.
  • Immediate lawsuit or legal demand for settlement, the choice is yours

PRICING:
We try to offer the most reasonable pricing on the market today, compassion is a part of collecting and the compassion has to begin with the collector.  This is why we offer a sliding scale based on the aging (how old is the debt) and the amount (how much is the debt).

AGE OF DEBT
All debts under one (1) year old fall under Set A, all debts over one (1) year old fall under Set B.

AMOUNT OF DEBT:

SET A SET B
$0 - $999 25% of amount collected 35% of amount collected
$1,000 - $9,999 22% of amount collected 33% of amount collected
$10,000 - $24,999 20% of amount collected 30% of amount collected
$25,000 - $49,999 18% of amount collected 25% of amount collected
$50,000 - $99,999 15% of amount collected 22% of amount collected
$100,000 and over 10% of amount collected 20% of amount collected

LEGAL SERVICES:
Legal Services will be provided by the the Law firm of Schofield, Grossman & Linden located in Pasadena, CA.  A separate retainer agreement is required for all collections that require legal services.  Legal collections and those through a court of law are at a flat rate of 35% of amount collected for all collections under one (1) year old and 50% of amount collected for all collections over one (1) year old.  A retainer amount may be required to cover all court and filing costs, please discuss this with the legal representative assigned to your case.
